Groundbreaking Event for Del Bello Lakes Attracts Community Members, Local City Officials
Shea Homes broke ground on Del Bello Lakes, the company’s first self-developed community in the Houston area, on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 9:30 am. The community is located in the Pearland-area city of Manvel. Keith Luechtefeld, Division President for Shea Homes, led the morning’s groundbreaking activities.
The official groundbreaking ceremony was attended by officials from the city of Manvel, the Alvin Manvel Area Chamber of Commerce, and teams from the home builders who will be building in the community, including Shea Homes, Perry Homes, Ashton Woods and Westin Homes.
The community is named after the Del Bello family, who were one of the founding families in the Manvel area in the 1800s. The neighborhood will offer four different homesite sizes, including 50’, 55’, 60’, and 70’ wide sites and homes will be priced from the mid $200s to $500s. Located off of Highway 288 at Del Bello Boulevard, just north of Highway 6 in Manvel, children living in the community will attend Alvin ISD Schools; E.C. Mason Elementary, Manvel Junior High and Manvel High School.
There will be an on-site recreation center for the exclusive use of residents, plus lakes, trails, and parks. The neighborhood’s outstanding location will provide residents easy access to major work centers as well as many dining, shopping and recreation venues.
Model homes are expected to open in the first quarter of 2020, followed by a community Grand Opening event.
