Herb Weitzman Joins HEB to Break Ground on One Million Sq. Ft. Project
The Dallas-based shopping center developer Weitzman just broke ground on a one million square foot Manvel Town Center. This marks the first phase of construction on this development, located south of Houston.
H-E-B grocery will be a primary anchor in this brand-new open-air shopping center, which you will be able to find at the intersection of Highway 6 and Highway 288. This new development will be one of the largest retail shopping centers in the history of the city of Houston, as well as Weitzman’s largest project it has undertaken in its 31-year history as a business.
The vision for this area is a balance of market-leader retail anchors, restaurants, fitness centers, shops, health and beauty options, and entertainment as well.
The H-E-B alone will span more than 100,000 square feet, and will also include a gas station and a car wash.
This shopping center will provide a massive, ongoing boost to the local Manvel economy. It will not only drive sales to this new shopping center, but to businesses all around Manvel as our population continues to grow and thrive.
Manvel’s population is expected to reach a 16% increase in population growth as soon as 2025. As such, we expect this will be one of many new business developments opening in Manvel over the coming years.
