Houston Chronicle Awards Alvin Independent School District for 2nd Year in a Row

The Houston Chronicle is thrilled to announce that Alvin ISD has been recognized as one of the Top Workplaces in Houston, for the second year in a row. This award is singularly based on the feedback of employees in the area, which is collected through a third-party survey administrator, Energage, LLC.

The survey feedback was anonymous and analyzed key employee feedback, including:

  • Workplace culture.
  • Team alignment.
  • Goal setting and execution.
  • Connectedness and engagement.
  • And more.

Alvin ISD Superintendent Carol Nelson said she was grateful that they earned this esteemed award for the second year in a row. It makes it even more of an honor that it is solely based on the satisfaction and honest, anonymous feedback of their employees. Alvin ISD continues to be a district known for its values of fostering a dynamic learning environment, as well as its commitment to the excellence and success of each of their students.

This award is a distinct honor and joy to everyone in the Alvin ISD community. Out of the thousands of companies and organizations in Houston, only 130 made this year’s list. With that, Alvin ISD is one of only two school districts that made this distinguished list of the best places to work in the Houston Metro Area.
