Teacher of the Year Finalists from Alvin ISD
Alvin ISD is pleased to announce that six finalists have been named for the elementary and secondary teachers of the year award, for 2020-21.
Those teachers are:

Patricia Delgado – Jeter Elementary
Shelli Adams - Stevenson Primary
Rebecca Garza – Pomona Elementary
Rogelio Maxwell – Passmore Elementary
Alvin ISD Secondary
Kristen Vollman – Shadow Creek High School
Elizabeth Hardig - Harby Jr. High
Jennifer Hammond – Alvin High School
Shelby Davis – Manvel Jr. High
Kelli Gartman – RISE Academy
Jessica Jackson – Rodeo Palms Jr. High
The Alvin ISD Elementary and Secondary Teacher of the Year will be chosen from this pool of teachers. Each candidate will be interviewed first before the selections are made. This will happen during the Alvin ISD Employee Recognition Ceremony, which will take place virtually on May 13 at 6:00 PM, via Facebook and YouTube. The Paraprofessional of the Year and Rookie Teacher of the Year will also be announced at this time.
The Alvin ISD Employee Recognition Ceremony is a chance for the school district to honor the outstanding teachers, paraprofessionals, and others for the 2020-2021 school year. The district will recognize individual campus Teachers of the Year, Paraprofessionals of the Year, Rookie Teachers of the Year, Principals of the Year, department employees of the year, and retirees.
