$5 Million Given to Brazoria County for New Emergency Ops Center

The Texas Division of Emergency Management is injecting $5 million into building a new Brazoria County Emergency Operations Center. This center will serve as a permanent fixture in assisting the Gulf Coast region in the event of states of emergency or natural disasters. 

The new emergency response center will allow rapid deployment of resources to those in need following a natural disaster, particularly when it comes to hurricanes and tropical storms.
