Alvin Community College Planning To Open A facility in Manvel Next Spring

Coming soon to Manvel, TX!! Alvin Community College is expanding, bringing educational opportunities to the area. The Manvel Mansion, an estate in town, is currently being transformed into a new facility on the west side of the district.

The College's Board of Regents unanimously approved a 5-year lease agreement on Sept. 22 for 14,500 square feet of the property in Manvel, a once $3.5 million residential home.

Alvin Community College plans to use the recently turned commercial space to offer training and certificate programs tailored for local employers, according to a news release.

"This location is about meeting the needs of employers and the workforce in that part of our service area," stated the ACC President, Robert Exley.
