Alvin High School women place 4th at Texas High School Women's Powerlifting Championship

Congratulations to the Alvin High School Women's Powerlifting Team, who placed 4th overall at the Texas High School Women's Powerlifting championship. The event was held March 16 and 19 in Corpus Christi, TX.

Alvin High Junio Eliana Hernandez was named the State Champion in the 259 weight class! Isabela Recendez finished 2nd place in the 132 class, while Hannah Casas placed 4th in the 123 class. Other Yellowjackets also had strong showings. Maya Ruiz placed 5th in the 259+ class, Denisse Limon placed 5th in the 132 class, Lexi Rodriguez placed 7th in the 114 class, and Kaylyn Tucker placed 8th in the 97 class. 

Exciting to see hard work pay off for these student athletes!
