Alvin ISD Boosts Literacy Skills with Camp Read-A-Lot

Alvin ISD is offering Camp Read-A-Lot as an option for students going into 1st through 5th grade. This program is for students who were virtual learners during the last school year, who need extra support with reading and literacy. The program sets a transition at the slower pace of academics, making it engaging and less stressful for students coming back to the classroom.

Alvin ISD administration wants to provide a smooth transition for virtual learning students and give their students an enjoyable way to fall in love with writing and reading. The camp will incorporate entertaining ways for students to tell stories, read them, and even write their own while building confidence in foundational skills.
