The Ice at Discovery Green

Looking for a fun way to get the family in the holiday spirit?  Check out the Ice at Discovery Green!

Glide beneath the glittering lights of downtown Houston and discover the holiday magic on The Ice powered by Green Mountain Energy! The Ice will be open through January 31, 2021.

Safety protocols include increased sanitation and contactless ticket buying. A reduced number of tickets will be sold to maintain social distancing.

Hours of Operation:
Monday – Friday: 5-10 pm (Fridays open until 11pm)
Saturday & HISD School Holidays*: 11 am-11 pm
Sunday: 11 am – 8 pm


Christmas & New Year’s Eve: 11 am-7 pm
Christmas & New Year’s Day: 1-7 pm
*HISD school holidays include: Nov. 23-27; Dec. 21-31; Jan. 1-3; Jan. 18

$15 admission, skate rental included
Cheap Skate Mondays: $8, skate rental included
